What Seeks You

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're opening our awareness to what is seeking us.

As we go about our daily happenings we know what we like, are drawn to, and gravitate toward. This flow is deeply recharging for our spirit. Yet it can also hinder our divine flow when we lock into what we know we are drawn to as being the only thing(s) we like!

In the wise words of Rumi, "What you seek is seeking you."

Here is a nudge to help you surrender to your divine flow and open to greater possibility.

Breathe in these words: What I seek is seeking me.

Then allow that which you seek, to seek you this weekend.

Be present to the now moment and see what is drawn into your life right now without you seeking it out.

To remind yourself that the things that truly wish to be found on your path always find a way to show up, take a pic of something which symbolises this energy. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge pics via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Reach Toward Possibility

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're reaching further.

Our ability to expand into our highest possibilities is in direct relationship with how far we think we can extend ourselves. As Henry Ford said, "If you think you can or think you can't, you're right". These words always remind me of a stretching exercise I learnt many moons ago.

1. Stand with your feet firmly on the ground. Lift one arm up straight in front of you (at a right angle to your body) with your index finger pointing ahead (like you are pointing to the horizon). Without moving your feet, gently swing your arm around as far as it can go - allow your head and upper body to follow in a twist-like motion. Stretch yourself as far as you can go (without any harm to yourself of course). Go as far as you are sure is your furthest possible point - take note of the *exact* spot your index finger is pointing to (you'll be referring back to it). And relax, bring yourself back to centre. *You can also do this while sitting on the floor, as long as there is space behind you to extend out your arm.

2. Next, do the exercise (still standing or sitting in the same place), but this time close your eyes and only imagine it. In your mind's eye imagine you are ultra flexible like rubber and can turn your upper body around full circle, then back again. See yourself being able to do this with ease. Imagine the full-circle twist a couple of times to really get a sense that this is completely possible.

3. Open your eyes and repeat step 1. Do the exercise with your eyes open (again, still standing or sitting in the same place). Now note the *exact* spot where your finger is pointing to this time around.

Notice a difference?

Initially we go as far as we think is our limit. We are sure we can not possibly go any further. But when we stretch ourselves into the possibility that we can go even further… we do.

To remind yourself that if you think you can, you can, take a pic of something that represents the word 'possibility' to you. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Being in the Flow

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're being in the flow.

Giving ourselves permission to let go of old emotions allows us to respond to current happenings in a new way. It's emotional channel clearing goodness. Here is another way to nurture your own flow. Find a flow imprint in nature, such as; grooves in the sand, ripples in water, wind blowing across a field, dappled light on the ground or whatever speaks to you of flow in nature.

Then, be in it. Include yourself in this flow imprint you find in nature. See yourself and your energy as a part of this flow.

If it's not possible to include yourself physically, imagine you are a part of it in your mind's eye.

Notice how flowing you feel in relationship to the flow imprint in nature. If you like you can explore this further in your journal by asking 'what message do you have for me?' and writing down what comes to you. Or artwork out your response.

To remind yourself that your inner flow is a part of nature's flow, take a pic of your flow imprint in nature. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Your Totem Animal

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

When animal totems need to show up in your life, they find a way.

Right now I'm on a soul nourishing sojourn in the Upper Hunter (NSW, Australia). As those with me on Instagram (@jelenamrkich) and Facebook may know, I'm staying in a castle. I'm writing this in the tower room where earlier an eagle was flying directly overhead. This rather magical place is surrounded by wildlife. Thus a significant theme has been connection with the animal kingdom. So far I've connected with and seen; kangaroos, wild horses, wild deer, foxes, wombats, rabbits, bats and the bird clans including the eagle, ravens, tawny frogmouths, ibis', rosellas, currawongs, magpies, willy wagtails, swallows and blue wrens. Also bees, butterflies and dragonflies. And Bella, the cat of the castle.

As much as each animal has its own animal wisdom, collectively they also hold a message about one's own inner nature and wild self. Of course to receive meaningful messages from the animal kingdom it's not about how many creatures you see. It's about being open to the ones nudging for your attention now.

And this is the nudge. Notice which animal is asking for your attention now. Which creature is showing up regularly or which one are you strongly drawn to at the moment? What particular behaviours or characterises grab your attention? What about this creature is speaking to you? What might it be showing you about yourself? Open to receiving the message it has for you. If you like you can explore this further in your journal by asking 'what message do you have for me?' and writing down what comes to you. Or artwork out your response.

Working with animals as our guides can assist with our inner processes and help shed light on our current path. You may have a totem animal that has been with you most all of your life, while other totems show up with a specific message you need in that moment.

A note, when it's not possible or practical for an animal totem to show up in the physical, they can show up in symbolic ways too, such as via pics and imagery, the written and printed word or verbally say during a random chat or conversation. Alternatively you might choose to connect with the animal kingdom during meditation.

To remind yourself that the animal kingdom is always communicating with us, take a pic of your totem animal. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

To Be a Rainbow Lion

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

This week I was a rainbow lion.

As kids adorning our faces with paint is pure joy. To transform into magical creatures, animals and superheroes. Face paint momentarily becomes a part of our skin. With it we step into a certain character or a new aspect. One that might help us to have more courage, freedom and fun that we might otherwise embody on a day to day basis. This ancient practice is one way to consciously enter the realm of imagination. No matter our age it brings out our inner-child, opens our heart space and uplifts our whole self. As adults it invites us to take things less seriously or shake them off - especially any pressures and tensions we don't need to, but for whatever reason think we must, carry.

Face painting can help shift the story your body is holding right now.

For this nudge we are doing exactly that. Painting our face. I was a rainbow lion. What do you want to be? Your face painting might be a recognisable being or perhaps it's not. It could be; simple, elaborate, symmetrical, free form, tribal, contemporary, bold, subtle, multi-coloured or all in one hue. You can use ready-to-go face paints, make your own face paints or get creative with makeup. Be sure it is non-toxic and skin-friendly (check any labels as not all non-toxic paints mean skin-friendly).

A note, if you can, ask someone else to do this for you, like your partner, a family member or friend. If you have little ones in your life, hand the brush over to them!

To remind yourself that the aspects that surface when you paint your face are aspects already within you, take a pic of your face painting. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your face painting pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Up, Up and Beyond

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're expanding.

We are masterful at pulling ourselves down. Yet we are as masterful when we allow ourselves to be, to lift ourselves beyond limiting beliefs and what we once thought possible for ourselves.

Here is a nudge to remind you that each day gifts us the opportunity to raise our perspective - and expand into greater possibility. Literally look up. Look up to the sky and hand up your doubts, fears and concerns. The sky just like the ocean can help transmute any heavy energies we may be holding. The sky is continually letting go of everything - and constantly flowing. Clouds shift, rains fall, winds blow, thunder roars, lightening strikes, rainbows beam, sunlight streams - yet these things do not define the sky - and so it holds on to none of it. It lets it all be. It lets it all go.

Your energies are a part of this same divine flow. To explore this further, here a few questions to ask yourself or write down in your journal;
- Where might you be resisting flow in your life right now?
- Where can you allow more flow to happen in your life?
- Are you trusting your own divine flow? If you aren't but would like to, here is a mindful mantra: "I trust my deep inner knowing. I am aligned with my divine flow."

A note, shifting our energies requires our focus, intention, willingness, courage and deep inner work amongst many things. And yet sometimes it can be the most simplest things that expands us just enough to open to a new way of seeing things.

To remind yourself that your highest potential is boundless, take a pic of the sky. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Surrender Your Fill

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're surrendering our fill.

Once or twice a year the Moon appears lit up from the bottom. When the 'horns' of the Moon point upward. This happens when the Moon travels straight down toward the horizon. Ancient sky-watchers saw this 'U' shape as representing a bowl that could fill up with the rain and snow of the winter season. Looking up at the sky tonight from where I stood, it looked exactly like that. A bowl or a sacred silver vessel ready to be filled to fullness with what one's soul truly desires.

Here is a nudge to creatively fill your cosmic cup. Take a sheet of paper and draw a bowl-like shape near the bottom of the page. Then, fill it up with your wishes and intentions for the coming month. Some wishes and intentions might feel very do-able, some might seem otherwise. Include them all. There are many things our current self views as impossible. In which case, feel free to remind your current self --> Impossible = I'm Possible.

Then, surrender your 'fill' to the Universe in whatever way calls you. You might want to put your piece of paper somewhere where you can see it, or maybe you burn it (safely), bury it or tuck it into your journal.

A note, when filling up your cup do this in whatever way you choose. You can write down your wishes and intentions with pen, pastels or markers. Or express this visually using words and images from magazines.

To remind yourself that wishes can come true, even seemingly impossible ones, take a pic of your filled cosmic cup. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Your Stardusted Self

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

The words 'we are made up of stardust' have been sung about, danced around, documented, researched, printed onto t-shirts and painted on canvas. Some see the words as a romantic idea or a whimsical thought. As the stars would have it, they are also based on scientific fact. Almost every element on our planet (including us) was formed at the heart of a star. And almost every element of our physical being is made up of the same elements that stars are made of. Elements themselves (such as carbon, nitrogen and oxygen) were actually created within the deep interior of stars.

We are made up of stardust.

For this nudge we're using these words as our prompt. What do they mean to you? What feelings come up for you? Connected, at one with all, interwoven with all things in the cosmos, ancient, nourished, light, shiny or maybe something entirely different? Allow whatever feels connected to these words to surface. Then, express this out in whatever way calls you. Maybe you create something to symbolise this. Perhaps you take a symbolic pic that represents your meaning. Or you might artwork or journal it out.

To remind yourself that you are made up of starstuff, take a symbolic pic of your nudge in action. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your star pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Round Up, Picture This

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Round up, picture this: We're taking a group photo. Of you.

Your team-of-you aka all your inner aspects work together as exactly that, a team. Sure, some aspects can get a bit rowdy possibly because they are so very passionate about your life direction, others want to protest or quit, some sit quiet and there are those that roll up their sleeves ever-ready to do what needs to be done to get you where you want to be.

Now, imagine gathering your team-of-you for a group photo.

As you round up all your inner aspects together, from the unsure self to the assured self and every other self in between - what does your group look like? What symbols, visuals or objects come to mind? What feelings surface? Let your imagination and intuition guide you. Your team-of-you might be flowing in harmony like a waterfall, huddled together like a mis-matched soccer team or grouped as one like a bunch of wild flowers. Allow whatever surfaces for you, sans judgement.

Note, if you find yourself wishing your team-of-you could get a make-over, how would you want them to be?

Then, allow yourself to express that out in whatever way calls you. Maybe you take a pic of something symbolic that represents your team-of-you. Perhaps you create something to symbolise your team-of-you, such as a circle or other formation of sacred, natural or random objects. Or you might artwork it out.

To remind yourself that when your inner aspects are seen, they lift your own self-awareness, take a symbolic pic of that which represents your team-of-you. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Your You~ness Party

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're going to the party.

Our whole self is constantly inviting all of our inner aspects to come to the party - of being who we really are and letting go of who we are not.

What would your party look like if it could be anything in the world? Of course your life is your you~ness party. For this nudge we're inviting our imagination to run free and open to what our party would look like if we let go of any fears, limiting beliefs, self-sabotaging patterns and old modes of being that no longer serve us. Ask yourself what kind of event is it - casual, relaxed, sacred, natural, vintage, original, simple, elaborate, fun, childlike, serious or something else? It might be a quaint or boisterous celebration. It is whatever surfaces for you.

Pay attention to any signs or tangible objects that show up on your path that symbolise what your party would look like. It might be a rainbow, glitzy shoes, balloons, delicious food, a magnificent cake, your favourite band, a jumping castle or whatever you feel drawn to. You might want to bake that cake! Or express this nudge in the form of an artwork.

To remind yourself that your life right now is your you~ness party in action, take a pic of your symbolic object or artwork, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Earth, Art and You

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

It's all about Earth, art and you.

From the highest mountainous peaks to the deepest of canyons, Mother Earth creates, moves, shifts and exchanges energy with a natural sense of balance and purpose. Wherever we are we breathe her air, nourish our physical self with food grown in her rich soil, feel her breeze, are touched by her rains, drink her water and look up to her skies. Even under the thickest of urban fabric we remain intimately connected with her.

Here is a nudge to nurture your connection with nature and your own natural creative flow. Create a piece of earth art. Allow natural objects to be your materials using the earth (the ground itself) as your canvas. Your art can be as big or as small as you like. It might be a large spiral of stones you can walk around, a circle of flowers formed at your feet or a few feathers poked into the sand. It is whatever flows naturally from you.

Begin with a walk outdoors. You might step out in your yard, visit a local park, community garden, nature reserve, headland, river, lake, beach or perhaps take a stroll through a side alley near your home lined with some trees. Notice the natural and organic materials on your path and gather up what calls you. Your objects can be all of one type or they might vary. Trust whatever is on your path is exactly what you need right now, be it; pebbles, rocks, stones, shells, driftwood, twigs, bark, feathers, seed pods, pine cones, leaves, flowers, petals or whatever you find (or finds you!). Then, using the ground as your canvas create a piece of land art. Lay your objects in a formation that flows naturally from you and feels good to you. Allow your intuition to guide you.

Note, if you are unable to access a spot of nature outdoors due to weather, you can do this indoors using natural objects you may already have around your home or in your everyday environment.

Earth is with us in every breath. Nurturing the sacred connection to her daily is nourishment for our own natural creative flow.

To remind yourself that you are always connected to Earth wherever you physically are, take a pic of your earth art, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your earthy art via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Inner Alignments

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're aligning.

It's Solstice time. Happy Winter Solstice to all in the Southern Hemisphere. This longest and darkest night of the year is a brilliant time to ground your being and be at home within, to reflect on your inner growth during the past six months (yes, there has been plenty even if at first glance it appears otherwise!) and celebrate the return of lighter days. Happy Summer Solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere as you celebrate the longest and lightest day of the year, and reflect on all that has come to light (remember, inner truth does set us free even when it pushes us way out of our comfort zones). It is a sacred time wherever you are.

This nudge is a reflective invitation to honour your own personal inner alignment.

Tune into the magic of the current energies and align to your centre with this Solstice Mantra;

My breath returns me home right now. I am centred in my light.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down.

To remind yourself that home is wherever you are, take a pic of today's sky, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer. If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your sky pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

May your breath can return you home wherever you are.

Clearing Your Sacred Space

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #27. We're clearing space. With our breath.

We know how brilliant it feels to shed the clutter in our home or work space, to clean that room or let go of what hasn't been used in years. It shifts the energy, lets in more light and creates the space for more of what you do want in your life. It feels just as brilliant to let go of stale energy within the sacred space that is our physical body.

Here is a nudge to tune into the cleansing power of your own breath. Use it as a meditation. Find a comfy spot where you can sit on a chair or the ground, or if you want you can lay down - though some people do fall asleep in that position! Before you begin you might like to make your comfy spot more tranquil by lighting a candle (safely) and placing a few natural elements infront of you such as a flower, leaves, crystals or shells.

When you are ready close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath. Allow your body to enter its own natural rhythm of breathing. Use your in-breath to breathe in what you would like more of in your life, it might be deeper peace, greater calm, more love, joy or whatever is calling you right now. Breathe it in as you say to yourself, "I breathe in ___________" (fill in the blank). Then use your out-breath to breathe out what you no longer need. Breathe it out as you say to yourself, "I breathe out all that is not peace" or whatever you wish to breathe out. As you exhale it can feel very clearing to let out a sound, imagine it's coming up and out from your belly. Continue the process for a few minutes or until you feel done. Then when you are ready, wiggle your toes to bring yourself back to your body in the present moment, and slowly open your eyes.

Note, when practiced in the morning it can help set the tone for a calmer day. Practiced at night it can assist in letting go any stresses and concerns you might be holding, and help induce a more restful and replenishing sleep.

If you feel to expand on the nudge further, write down your response to the meditation in your journal. You might like to note down how the process was for you - easeful or did any resistance surface?

To remind yourself that your breath can help clear and calm your energies, take a pic of your tranquil spot, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your tranquil spot via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Move Your Inner Creativity, Out

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #26. We're moving our inner creativity, out!

What comes to mind when you think of the world 'creativity'? We each have our own definition of and connection to the word. Though in our busy inner and outer worlds we can feel like there's just not enough time for it. Yet that's what life is. An ah-mazing and ever-evolving act of creativity. Beyond the bounds of time, are you paying attention to the creativity within you or are you pushing it away?

Here is a nudge to amplify your awareness of your inner creativity and move it out into your life. Pay attention to how your inner creativity shows up for you this weekend and then, action it. Follow through in a way that feels life-enhancing for you. Your inner creativity is there to assist you in living the full expression of your highest self. It simply loves to create. It can show up as an inspired thought, an illuminated idea, an intuitive hunch or a spontaneous 'yes' to step out of your comfort zone. It can show up while you are taking a shower, driving, dancing or about to fall asleep (you might like to keep a pen and a notebook on your bedside table for such moments!).

However your inner creativity shows up for you in your life, pay attention to its blazing creative genius.

To remind yourself of your blazing creative genius is always with you, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge in action via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

A Little Sparkle

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #25. We're sparkling.

There's a divine spark in each of us. Its fiery, pure light, life-giving goodness radiates from the core of our being, out through our skin and into our lives. Ever notice how people say, "You're glowing!" or "You look radiant!" whenever we are on fire in our life, blazing forward on our highest path and feeling alive from the depths of our being? It's the inner spark, sparkling out.

Here is a nudge to remind you that your inner spark was born to shine through your whole self. Consciously add some 'sparkle' to your life this weekend. Interpret this in whatever way calls you right now.

To help you get started here are a few ways that you can get your sparkle on:
- Bust out your glitter, glitter pens or glitter paint.
- Make something using sequins.
- Get creative with anything metallic (in a non-explosive way of course).
- Paint your nails with sparkly polish.
- Wear something gold, silver or sparkly.
- Write a poem inspired by the word 'sparkle'.
- Capture the sparkle of the sun or the sparkle in your own eyes via a photo.
- Light a sparkler (safely), setting an intention of how you would like your own inner spark to shine through you.
- Journal out what it means for you to 'sparkle'.

Your divine spark illuminates your entire being from the inside out when you step out of your own way and allow it to shine.

To remind yourself that you are a divine spark, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Planting Three Wishes

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #24. We're planting wishes.

As one of my first yoga instructors taught me many moon ago, where the mind goes the body follows. And does one's life. With the earthy energies of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus today, we're being given a divine invitation to pay attention to the direction our life is flowing. Whether you have been flowing closer toward or further away from the highest vision of your life, here is a nudge to assist you in aligning deeper with it.

Plant a wish. Three of them.

New moons are a time for getting clear with your intentions and what you truly desire to be calling into your life. Find a comfy spot indoors or out in nature and ask yourself, 'What three wishes do I have for me and my life right now?'. To plant your wishes, write down your responses in your journal or artwork them out with pencils or pastels. You might even like to literally plant some seeds in a pot, your garden or an egg carton. Knowing wishes really can come true.

So, what would it feel like if yours really did? Feel that.

Then hand your wishes up to the Universe, trusting whatever is for your highest good always finds it way to you.

To remind yourself that wishes can come true, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Pleasure Loves Awakening You

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #23. Let's go out and play.

As kids we don't need a reason to play. And we sure don't need to be asked twice if we want to go out and play. Whether that means going on the swings, sliding down the slippery-dip, kicking a ball around, running through the park, collecting leaves, climbing trees, shape-spotting in the clouds, drawing with chalk or building sandcastles. Perhaps due to weather or your location it's all about indoor fun like colouring in, finger painting, face painting, baking cookies and creating a mess in the kitchen, carving potato stamps, making play-dough, playing an instrument or a board game. Maybe it's more quiet play like doing a puzzle or reading a book.

Here is a nudge to up your inner-child happiness. Play. Go out or stay indoors. Whatever works for you. Think about the kinds of things you loved doing as a kid. Or maybe it was things you would have loved to do as a kid if you could have.

Play is happiness enhancing and ups your inner bliss! It's sheer joy in motion and super food for your creative spirit.

Here's my acronym for play --> Pleasure loves awakening you! It loves awakening you to the full expression of who you are.

To remind yourself that play is serious self-care business, take a pic of your play in motion, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your play in motion via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Embrace Your Truth

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #22. We're embracing our truth.

Our inner truth is part disconnection and part connection. The disconnection part continually calls us to let go of who we are not. The connection part is the ever-present invitation to embrace more of who we are. It's an interesting symbiosis. It is in embodying more of our light that often unveils more of our shadow or hidden aspects. This is not to taunt us, rather to help transform us.

Here is a nudge to help embrace more of your truth. Seek your shadow, as in your actual shadow when the sun or other light source is beaming down upon you. Imagine your shadow is an aspect of you that you haven't wanted to face, but that you know on some level you are ready to acknowledge. In your mind's eye or speaking aloud, have a chat with your shadow.
- What does this aspect want to share with you right now?
- What does this aspect need right now?
- And, what gift does this aspect have for you?
When you feel done, thank this aspect for its gifts. If you feel inclined write your responses in a journal or express your experience through an artwork.

A note, if you feel the light is not strong enough to cast a shadow you can chat with, you can do this exercise in your mind's eye. Visualise your shadow in front of you and follow the process as above.

Acknowledging a shadow or hidden aspect transforms its energy - and gives it permission to shift from being a hinderer to a helper in your life.

To remind yourself that facing your shadows allows you to embrace more of your truth, take a pic of your actual shadow, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your shadow pics via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Emerging into More

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #21. We're emerging into more.

Each day is an invitation to emerge into more of who we are. Along the way we can encounter turbulence. Sometimes it's a teeny tiny blink-and-you've-missed-it bump and other times it can shake us up from our core. It can awaken our excitement, fuel our dreams and stir our fears. On occasion when it seems too much it can halt us in our tracks, we can get stuck or block our own path for countless reasons. When this happens, in the words of Caroline Myss, "The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind."

Here is a nudge to shift the focus from the chatter of your mind to the knowing of your soul. Do one thing on your list of wanna-do's that you know will make your inner self feel good. It might be finally replanting a pot plant that's outgrown its old space, completing a personal project that's been awaiting you or trying out a new recipe that you tucked away for 'one day'. It might be a relatively small thing or a life-transformational thing. It's whatever you want it to be. The focus here is to action it. When we set in motion the things that expand our hearts we create the space to hear our highest good, the knowing of our soul.

Doing the things you wholeheartedly desire to do stretches the self forward into more of who truly you are.

To remind yourself that your brilliant soul knows the way, take a pic of your wanna-do in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your wanna-do pics via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Your Heart Groove

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #20. Ready to get your heart groove on?

In the entire Universe there is only one you. And you were born to be exactly that. You. Yet from a very early age many of us are told, taught or take on board that we need to tame our roar, shun our light and turn down the volume of our soul. In order to be enough, worthy and loved. If you have ever heard (and believed) words like, 'You can't do that', 'No, you can't be that', 'Oh, you must be dreaming' or 'Welcome to reality', then at some point you have most likely felt (or feel) like a round peg in a square hole.

It takes a lot of energy to be less than who you really are. And calls for courageous vulnerability to be your whole self. To dance to the rhythm of your own heart beat.

Here is a nudge to turn up the volume of your own inner beat and express it out. Tune into the rhythm of your breath. Your breath is in direct relationship with your heart beat. And allow your breath to guide you in a few minutes of movement.

Find or create a space where you can move freely around, either indoors or outside. If you feel comfy close your eyes. Become aware of your physical self. Notice where you are holding any tension. And breathe. Notice where you are feeling any ease. And breathe. Allow your breath to enter its own natural rhythm. Then, begin to move your body however you feel guided to move from within. You might keep your feet planted on the floor and move your upper body in a swaying motion. You might move your whole self but stay in the same spot. Or you might feel to move around in a circle, around the room or wherever your inner beat takes you. Move freestyle for a few minutes or as long as you like. Allow your movement to come to a natural point of stillness. When you are ready, wiggle your fingers to help ground your energies. And slowly, open your eyes.

Allowing our physical selves to move freely in an authentic way gives permission to our whole self to freely be who we authentically are.

To remind yourself that your heart groove is always with you, take a pic of you in motion, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your heart groove pics via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.
