Inner Alignments

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're aligning.

It's Solstice time. Happy Winter Solstice to all in the Southern Hemisphere. This longest and darkest night of the year is a brilliant time to ground your being and be at home within, to reflect on your inner growth during the past six months (yes, there has been plenty even if at first glance it appears otherwise!) and celebrate the return of lighter days. Happy Summer Solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere as you celebrate the longest and lightest day of the year, and reflect on all that has come to light (remember, inner truth does set us free even when it pushes us way out of our comfort zones). It is a sacred time wherever you are.

This nudge is a reflective invitation to honour your own personal inner alignment.

Tune into the magic of the current energies and align to your centre with this Solstice Mantra;

My breath returns me home right now. I am centred in my light.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down.

To remind yourself that home is wherever you are, take a pic of today's sky, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer. If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your sky pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

May your breath can return you home wherever you are.

Deep Wisdom of Your Breath

It's a universal language, primarily involuntary and a natural action we do our entire lives. Breathing.

Our breathing functions around the clock sending essential oxygen to every single cell in our bodies in order for us to be able to be here right now. That's a mammoth undertaking and fortunately we don't need to remember to do it. Our physical body keeps right on breathing even when we are asleep. It so often goes unnoticed as we go about our everyday happenings, though there is deep wisdom in our breath - it can inform us a great deal about our relationship with our own life and is a powerful tool for positively shifting our thoughts and feelings, especially when we might need to ground our energies or calm the self down.

The depth of our breath speaks to us of our openness to life.

In a rested state are you more of a shallow breather or do you take long deep breaths? It can be useful to consciously breathe deeply at least once a day. Take a deep breath in to allow fresh air to fill your lungs and belly, and breathe out to release any stale air so to speak. Exhaling with a sound such as a deep sigh from your belly can feel great too.

The rhythm of our breath speaks to us of how we move through our life.

In a rested state what is the rhythm of your breath doing - is it calm, even and easeful or challenging and out of sorts? If your breath feels easeful though your life feels somewhat out of sorts you can consciously tune into your breathe to help invite more of its easefulness into your life.

The source of our breath speaks to us of our alignment with our centre.

Breathing from our belly gets more oxygen into our system. When we enter the world we innately breathe from our diaphram/belly. We are centred in our being, connected to our divine flow. However as life unfolds, we can switch to upper chest breathing which can leave us feeling out of our centre, agitated without knowing why or breathing too much/too fast. If you desire to return to breathing from your belly be patient with yourself as it can take time to reprogram a primarily involuntary action.

The presence of our breath reminds us that we are transformational beings.

Our breath transforms after each inhale, when it flips direction and upon our exhale, flows out. We can literally use our breath as a tool to consciously flip our inner flow too. By bringing our awareness to our breath it can help ground our energies whenever we might feel anxious, nervous, agitated, irritated, frustrated or angry. When our mind and emotions are in overwhelm or overdrive, focusing on our breath can create powerful and positive change in our mental and emotional states.

How are you breathing right now? Are you giving yourself room to breathe calmly from within and in your life?

I'd love to hear from you. How does your breathing reflect your relationship with life? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Move it Out

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #12. We're going to move it.

As children we instinctively bounce to the beat, no matter when or where we are. We innately move with no self conscious editing or judgement. That space is liberating, blissful and brings us in alignment with the now. As adults, dancing helps us reconnect with that space we so ease-fully enter as kids. That space where you can breathe in the pure joy of being you.

Here is a nudge to uplift yourself by shifting yourself. Play some music that moves you, literally. It might be; rock, rap, pop, be-bop, jazz, classical, country, contemporary, instrumental, techno, tribal or whatever is calling you right now. Then, move it! Dance, sway, groove, shake, stomp, jump or step it out. Dance for a minute, for the whole track or however long you like.

For those of you who are regular dancers, brilliant. This is a reason for more movement. But if you've become a rare-groover or can't remember the last time you really shook it out, here's your opportunity. Put your dancing shoes on. Or dance barefoot. Dance at home. Or outside. Dance in nature. Dance with percussion. Dance with a scarf. Dance as soon as you wake up. Dance with yourself. Dance with others. Attend a dance class. Or get creative and have a five minute dance break wherever you find yourself this weekend.

To remind yourself that shifting yourself can help uplift yourself, take a photo while dancing, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Your view. If you like this post, click LIKE or if you give the nudge a go, please let us know. Share a pic with us on my Facebook Page, or add your comments below. I'd love to see your dancing images! If you share your dancing images on Twitter or Instagram, let's use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Pass it on. Here is a ready-to-go prod for you to share the nudge on Facebook, Twitter + elsewhere on the web; Get your creative on! Move it out; http://ow.ly/hLxnZ via @jelenamrkich #creativenudgefridays

Expressive movement is a positively powerful way to feel good naturally. When we feel good, it ripples through our body and out into our life.

Fuel Your Vision

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to the fifth nudge. We're fuelling our visions.

The energies of new~ness are magnified right now. We have birthed through a new cycle of the Mayan calendar, and are only days away from the birth of a new cycle of our Gregorian calendar. It's a brilliant time for checking-in and
