Your Pulse is Connected

There beyond the felt-sense of anger, grief, hurt, judgement, pain and sadness... when you encounter these powerful emotions in your beingness on any level, love yourself enough to feel them. Feel your way through them to the other side. There is light, an enlightening expansion and a liberating exhale awaiting you at the end of such tunnels.

But, you got to ride those waves all the way to the shore.

Otherwise, when you pause enough to notice, you will see they sure will, and do, find any which way to speak to you, to reach you, to get your conscious attention - via your body, mind, heart and spirit, via your energy, the goings on in your inner or outer worlds, or both.

If you think, 'The Universe doesn't listen to me', 'Why would the Universe notice me?', 'Why does it matter to the Universe which way I go?', oh it hears you, it notices you, it matters.

Because you are made up of the same stuff.
The Universe is within you.
There is nowhere you can go without being a part of it.

Not even when you feel stuck, confused, blocked, bad, unseen, disconnected, alone, lonely or worthless. No matter how far you wish or want to run away, hide or think you can numb it gone. Though such states blur the clear communication you were born with that connects your pulse to the pulse of the Universe. Such states cause static in your innate connection; insights are missed or dismissed, messages are denied or doubted, synchronicity is brushed aside and happenings are misread or misunderstood.

How to clear your channels? Feel.

Feel into what you are resisting that is causing the blur in the first place. You don't have to plunge your whole self right into it. Even one step at a time counts. You can do it. You are here to live your life awake. Sure, it will ask you to pluck up courage like you've maybe never seen or felt before. On the flip side, it will open your heart, expand your inner happiness and deepen your freedom within like you've maybe never imagined possible.

Allowing yourself to become more aware of your authentic self, what you are really doing and how you are truly moving through life, well, it may birth miracles.

I'd love to hear from you. What helps you enter your heart and face your emotions? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Move Your Inner Creativity, Out

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #26. We're moving our inner creativity, out!

What comes to mind when you think of the world 'creativity'? We each have our own definition of and connection to the word. Though in our busy inner and outer worlds we can feel like there's just not enough time for it. Yet that's what life is. An ah-mazing and ever-evolving act of creativity. Beyond the bounds of time, are you paying attention to the creativity within you or are you pushing it away?

Here is a nudge to amplify your awareness of your inner creativity and move it out into your life. Pay attention to how your inner creativity shows up for you this weekend and then, action it. Follow through in a way that feels life-enhancing for you. Your inner creativity is there to assist you in living the full expression of your highest self. It simply loves to create. It can show up as an inspired thought, an illuminated idea, an intuitive hunch or a spontaneous 'yes' to step out of your comfort zone. It can show up while you are taking a shower, driving, dancing or about to fall asleep (you might like to keep a pen and a notebook on your bedside table for such moments!).

However your inner creativity shows up for you in your life, pay attention to its blazing creative genius.

To remind yourself of your blazing creative genius is always with you, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge in action via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Write it, Light it, Let it Go; A Letter Burning Ritual

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #16. You'll need a light.

Whether we are conscious of it or not, whatever we hold in our energy fields is noticed by our being. One thing many of us are familiar with is holding onto unfinished business, be it for a day, a month or years. Perhaps we didn't like how the story unfolded, maybe we didn't agree with the way it ended or maybe some part of us is still wishing for a different outcome, seeking an answer or wanting to get some words off our chest.

Here is a nudge to help you prune a part of your path and pave the way for a greater sense of inner peace. Write a letter. But we're not going to deliver it. We're going to send it up to the Universe via sacred smoke by burning it. Safely of course. You will need a piece of paper and a writing tool. This nudge will take as long as you need it to take. Or if you prefer, set yourself a specific amount of time for this exercise, say 30 minutes.

To begin think of someone (or something) you feel you have unfinished business with, and are ready to finish or bring to closure. You might want answers or maybe you have words to express yourself. The person you think of could be in your everyday life or perhaps you haven't spoken in years or they may have passed on. Bring that person into your awareness, imagine they are standing in front of you or sitting beside you. Then, in your mind's eye start your dialogue, open to its flow without judgement. Ask your questions or share what you need to say. Allow the words to flow. Then allow the other to respond. Let the dialogue unfold until it feels complete. When you are ready, at any point of the process, write it down in the form of a letter. Once your letter is done, hand your words up to the Universe. Find a safe place to burn it, such as in a fireplace, a fire-proof container, outdoors in the sand at the beach or in your kitchen sink. Be sure to keep away from anything that can catch on fire.

Note, you can transmute the energy of unfinished business and/or closure by releasing your letter in other ways. Alternatively you could; shred your letter, tear it up and throw it in the paper recycling bin, bury it, turn it into paper pulp and create new paper out of it or transform it into an artwork.

All things being connected, we can uncover all our own answers and reach closure from within.

To remind yourself that all that you seek is within you, take a photo of your transformed letter, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

I'd love to see your letter transformations!

If you give the nudge a go, comment below Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your letter transformations via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Sip From What Makes You Shine

Everything we absorb, drink in and soak up is used as fuel for our being.

What we eat, the fluids we drink, the thoughts we think, the air we breathe, the emotions we hold, the beliefs we have, the inspiration we devour, the responses we experience, the actions we do, the movements we make, the words we speak, the words we attach to and how we perceive ourselves and our outer world - all fuel our being. On the surface they all appear to be very different types of fuel. What can be and often is similar is the quality of what we consume.

When the quality of our fuel is of a lower or dense vibration, our being requires more energy to process it. As a result we might find ourselves feeling depleted or drained of energy. When we gravitate toward higher vibrational fuels, we increase our health and sense of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. As a bonus higher quality fuels allows our inner furnace to burn energy more efficiently on all levels - giving us better digestion with everything we consume. Notice this in your own life, higher quality fuels enables you to literally digest emotions smoother, inhale more love, take in more joy and be more present in the now.

Eating an bunch of grapes is different to gulping down an emotion or swallowing an uncomfortable thought. Yet when we are aware that all these things provide fuel for our being - we can shift from leaving the quality of our fuel up to chance to consciously engaging with the quality of our fuel by choice.

Our being does not label fuel 'good' nor 'bad'. We all have moments when we feel triggered to do something we know is not so brilliant for us. Or moments when we simply fancy a treat. Like having a makes-my-inner-child-happy butterfly cupcake or a weekend fry-up for breakfast. On a not so side note, having such things on a regular basis shape-shifts a treat into an energy depleter. What matters is the quality of fuel we most often choose on a regular basis.

To create positive change in your life, or increase your sense of wellbeing on any level - check in with the quality of your fuel.

I'd love to hear about what fuels you! How do you notice the difference in your own life between lower and higher vibrational fuels? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

p.s. Kalvin says what fuels us brews together to form our very own personal blend of life tonic. It's like a bowl of goodness from which we draw our sustenance from. Of course the goodness in your bowl can only be as fabulous as the ingredients you put in it. Kalvin says our personal blend of life tonic is magical, in the sense that we can change it at any time. We can add to or subtract from the blend. We can dull it down or perk it up. We can neglect it as a resource or make conscious use of it as a self-nourishing tool with abundant boundless possibilities. Making more nourishing choices with what fuels you can transform you, your path and the vision you have for your life. Sip from what makes you shine.

Move Toward Your Light

Seedlings and plants have an innate response to "move" toward the light. Super sensitive to their environment, they bend and grow in the direction of their light source. We too bend and grow in response to our environment.

Each and every day our whole self experiences movement. From moment to moment our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states can shift slightly or significantly. As we go about our daily routines and regular happenings, our senses are receiving word about our internal and external environment - whether sensory via what we hear, see, smell, taste and touch or extrasensory via intuition (commonly known as the sixth sense), visions and telepathy. Our response mechanisms are so ah-mazing that it doesn't even matter whether stimuli is actual, imagined or a fallacy. We can be triggered by such things as; a tangible object, a real action, an imagined happening, a meditative experience, a factual memory or a false perception. This is a remarkable gift, as we have the capacity to consciously use our imagination and the power of imagery as tools to create positive and purposeful change in our lives.

We encounter stimuli throughout our entire day from the moment we open our eyes, be it; the natural light of daybreak, the sound of a little one stirring, an animal friend wanting food, an alarm clock sounding, a neighbour mowing the lawn or traffic driving by.

But what effect is your response having on the direction of your own growth?

Tune into your current responses to gain clarity with the direction you are moving in right now - further away or closer toward your own light.

If it resonates with you, here is an awareness exercise you can do wherever you are and no matter what unfolds during your day, whether a lot or very little. Pick a day this week and be aware of what shifts your states and when. You might like to write it down in a journal. Alternatively, during the day check in with yourself on the hour every hour and note down any inner or outer shifts. Do this without any judgement. Simply allow yourself to observe what shifts you. Notice what changes your body posture, what alters your mood and what triggers reactions within you. Take note too of what changes your energy levels.

The more aware we are of what shifts, uplifts or squashes us, the more empowered we are to make different choices if we desire. As a bonus, paying attention to what triggers us opens the doors to a rather fabulous personal resource library. When you know what gives you more energy, greater clarity, harmonious emotions and calmer thoughts - the more readily you can draw upon these experiences in your life when you feel otherwise.

What direction are you growing in? To tweak your course, pay attention to how you are responding to your inner and outer environment.

p.s. Kalvin was sitting in my hand as we both became the tree during today's photo shoot. He laughed and laughed himself silly saying sometimes he feels teeny tiny in the world. But through the power of light and shadow he was able to be like the tree and stretch his limbs up to the Sun. He said this made him feel as tall as the tree and like his own roots were planted firmly in the ground. In that moment, as his shadow and mine became an extension of the tree, he realised that it doesn't matter how big or small we might think we are in relation to others or other things in the world, what matters is that you are here - like every plant and every tree, you have a place in the world.

Open to Your Doorway-Du-Jour

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #11. We're going to open to our doorway-du-jour.

Doorways are a passageway of change. Whether things are flowing in, going out or being held away, doorways are all about movement from one space, place or state of being to another. Representative of the various stages and experiences of life, they can mark an entrance, a beginning, a meeting point, a boundary line, a barrier, an opportunity, an exit, an ending, a transition or an initiation.

Here is a nudge to inspire you to notice the subtle ways our higher self can speak with us. For this exercise allow doorways to be a symbol for where you are at right now. Pay attention to the doorways that you see, passby or walk through during your day. Notice which one calls you in the moment. It might be open, closed, wooden, metal, wide, narrow, tall, short, brightly painted, rustic, new or old. Then, ask yourself, 'What words come to mind when I look at this doorway?', 'What does it remind me of?' and 'What is it saying to me right now?'.

You might like to express it out in an artwork or journal about the doorway that calls you the most right now aka your doorway-du-jour.

Note, your doorway can include a door, or not.

To remind yourself that when you desire to open up to more of who you are, the doors will open, take a photo of your doorway-du-jour, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Whatever door calls you right now has a message for you. Allow it to shed light on where you are at right now. Knowing where we are at helps us to choose our next step forward.

Your Universal Purpose

If there is a universal purpose we all share, it is to be who we are, not who we think we are.

When we are conscious of our desire to know more of who we are, we enable our essence to flow more ease~fully from the inside, out. We create the space to thrive, and rather than thinking this means a smooth-sailing and problem-free life, we gain the awareness {usually via direct experience, unexpected or otherwise} that being who we are and thriving, can and often does, push us out of our comfort zones. Right out.

We are pushed out of our comfort zones to be more of who we are. We might not always understand the why's and what-for's. But when we ask to be shown the gift in any experience, it reveals itself when we are ready, and when we need to know it. If you think you are ready and need to know it right now yet nothing is budging, you might like to ask yourself;
- What aspects of me are not ready?
- What message do these aspects have for me?
- What part of me does not want to know?
- What does this part wish to say?

When we are pushed out of our comfort zones we can let it block the flow of our essence or use the experience to bring more of our essence into our lives on all levels {physical, mental, emotional and spiritual}.

Moving beyond who we think we are {or ought to be} calls us to step up to something greater than where we are at. It asks us to be okay with not always being ready, with not always knowing everything we think we need to know. It invites us to let go of the details, step into the unknown and open ourselves up to the fullness of our ever-evolving truth.

Being who you {uniquely} are is a universal purpose that we collectively share. It will push you out of your comfort zones. Right out and into who you are, activating a deeper level of your personal purpose.

p.s. Kalvin reckons being who we think we are is a bit like taking a selfie from miles away. You know it's you in the picture even if you are as tiny as a dot. And when you are a dot it's kinda challenging to see your whole self. But when we open to being or knowing more of who we really are, Kalvin says it's like zooming in on ourselves. Right in on our face. Kalvin thinks this is brilliant. Because it means we can see every fabulous laugh line and maybe even up our nostrils. And Kalvin, being a piglet, loves nostrils. They make him snort, and he says there really is nothing like a good belly snort laugh to help you open up to even more of who you are.

There's an Angel in My Tea

"Do you have tea?", I asked the lady.
"Yes.", she replied.
I waited a moment to hear the selection, though no such details were forthcoming.
"What kind of tea?", I enquired.
"Hot tea.", she replied in a gentle and genuine tone.
"Perfect," I said, "I'll have that thanks.".

It was oolong loose leaf. And as I went to take a sip, I noticed there was an angel in my tea. I put the cup back down and took a moment to observe my minuscule visitor. The oolong angel spoke to me of being present.

Being present gifts our full presence to whatever we are doing, wherever we are at. It creates the space for being in sync with our whole self.

Our ability to be present works in partnership with where we place our awareness and what we give our attention to. When our awareness and attention are somewhere else, we can be doing one thing but a part of us can be doing another. There are times when this can be super useful, such as when we need to multi-task. But there are other times where it causes us to miss the magic and power of the present. Such as; when we are resting, but our minds are racing; when someone is speaking with us, but we completely miss what they have said; or when we action a task in one moment and forget that we did in the next. Whether we feel too busy, stressed, distracted, disrupted or are in denial in any way - being elsewhere can cause our whole self {body, mind, emotions and spirit} to feel out of sync. And when we feel out of sync we can either sit in it or shift through it. Sitting in it can attract more experiences of out-of-sync~ness.

Each out-of-sync experience is an invitation to break-through the pattern. Because our natural state of being~ness gravitates toward wholeness, a whole self that is in sync on all levels.

Bringing our awareness to the now and giving our attention to where we are really at, assists us to shift through out-of-sync~ness and realign with being present.

We all have moments of not being present. Though the more we are conscious of where our awareness and attention are at, the swifter and smoother the journey back to the present, our own presence and being in sync with our whole self.

Tea, anyone?

p.s. Kalvin {lover of creativitea in all its forms, including the sipping kind}, nearly fell off the table from excitement when he realised there was an angel in my cup. He went to dive in and splash around but the tea was still a tad too hot for such shenanigans. Kalvin says that tea {like art and creativity} has fabulous benefits for our whole being. It can soothe the mind, calm emotions, help heal the body and it's delicious. He reckons the journey of life is a bit like a pot of tea. Sitting in the hot spots too long can result in bitterness. But gifting your whole presence to the experience of drinking it, opens you up to its fullest flavour, richness and sweetness.

Postscript to The Liquid Saltiness of Harmony

In this week's blog post The Liquid Saltiness of Harmony I wrote about how cultivating, maintaining and/or reconnecting to harmony can first make us sweat.

Here's a fresh example;

This morning I went outside to give my chickens leftover angel hair pasta for their breakfast. Only to notice two of the six chickens were missing. I looked inside the

The Liquid Saltiness of Harmony

You are a physical embodiment of your soul spark. Made up of stardust some say.

Your light is made manifest into the visible world via your actions, thoughts, feelings, beliefs and what you hold in your energy fields. When you have awareness of and own your whole self - your body, mind, emotions and spirit
