Your Next Step

Once in a blue moon, a Blue Moon arrives. And it's here.

Today's Full Moon in Aquarius is an astrological Blue Moon, with the last Full Moon on July 23 also in Aquarius. During a walk yesterday morning I passed a preschool, where a group of 4 year olds were playing a game outside. One kid was shouting at the top of his lungs to the other kids standing in a line in front of him, "Are! You! Reeeeeeady!". To which the kids responded as loud as they could, "Yeeeeeees!". He said it three times, saying it more like a statement of intent than a question. As it happened 'Miraculous Emergence' had literally been on my mind, the latest intuited sketch about being born ready. I looked around me, feeling like I was in the Truman Show. Three more Truman Show type experiences have happened for me over the past 24 hours.

A super charged reminder that: Everything is happening for us not to us.

It's up to you which perspective you hold.

The current lunar energies are gifting us a double-powered opportunity to use what is surfacing in our lives right now (inside and out) to *help* not hinder our individual emergence into more of our wholeness. To emerge calls to let go of holding onto what no longer serves you, be it a fear, a resistance or a limiting belief. It might also include letting go of thinking you are not ready to really be your brilliant self or to radiate that out.

Here is a Moon Mantra to help show up for yourself:

I am ready to emerge. I am ready for my next step.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down. Express it out in whatever way feels good to you.

And howl. Oh, I meant allow.

I'd love to hear from you. What helps you let go of fears and limiting beliefs? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Surrender Your Fill

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're surrendering our fill.

Once or twice a year the Moon appears lit up from the bottom. When the 'horns' of the Moon point upward. This happens when the Moon travels straight down toward the horizon. Ancient sky-watchers saw this 'U' shape as representing a bowl that could fill up with the rain and snow of the winter season. Looking up at the sky tonight from where I stood, it looked exactly like that. A bowl or a sacred silver vessel ready to be filled to fullness with what one's soul truly desires.

Here is a nudge to creatively fill your cosmic cup. Take a sheet of paper and draw a bowl-like shape near the bottom of the page. Then, fill it up with your wishes and intentions for the coming month. Some wishes and intentions might feel very do-able, some might seem otherwise. Include them all. There are many things our current self views as impossible. In which case, feel free to remind your current self --> Impossible = I'm Possible.

Then, surrender your 'fill' to the Universe in whatever way calls you. You might want to put your piece of paper somewhere where you can see it, or maybe you burn it (safely), bury it or tuck it into your journal.

A note, when filling up your cup do this in whatever way you choose. You can write down your wishes and intentions with pen, pastels or markers. Or express this visually using words and images from magazines.

To remind yourself that wishes can come true, even seemingly impossible ones, take a pic of your filled cosmic cup. Then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Planting Three Wishes

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #24. We're planting wishes.

As one of my first yoga instructors taught me many moon ago, where the mind goes the body follows. And does one's life. With the earthy energies of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus today, we're being given a divine invitation to pay attention to the direction our life is flowing. Whether you have been flowing closer toward or further away from the highest vision of your life, here is a nudge to assist you in aligning deeper with it.

Plant a wish. Three of them.

New moons are a time for getting clear with your intentions and what you truly desire to be calling into your life. Find a comfy spot indoors or out in nature and ask yourself, 'What three wishes do I have for me and my life right now?'. To plant your wishes, write down your responses in your journal or artwork them out with pencils or pastels. You might even like to literally plant some seeds in a pot, your garden or an egg carton. Knowing wishes really can come true.

So, what would it feel like if yours really did? Feel that.

Then hand your wishes up to the Universe, trusting whatever is for your highest good always finds it way to you.

To remind yourself that wishes can come true, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge in action via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Unprecedented You

Unprecedented might be a rare word to come across, unless one is an astronaut, inventor or say, you. The word means something that has never been known or experienced before, something that is unparalleled and unique. It's rare because one's ears are more likely to hear the sentiment, 'Everything has been done before'. That idea, those words, this action, every creation = done, done, done and done. Thankfully, not quite.

In order to manifest into form, every idea, word, action and creation streams through a physical body. And just like we each have one-of-a-kind fingerprints, we each have our own unique soulprint. It's the essence you give to everything that flows into, through and from your being, including what you say, think, imagine, visualise, make, create and do.

Your essence adds to the ingredients list of everything in your life.

Ever prepared a meal using the exact same ingredients, following the exact same recipe and method as someone else, yet yours turns out slightly (or completely!) differently? Another example surfaced for me during an aromatherapy course I took many years ago. During one particular class the same blue glass bottles and the same three essential oils were handed out to everyone. We each had to work with the same number of drops of each oil to make our own personal blend. Not only did the order of the drops alter the final scent, but even when same oils were added in identical order, using the same number of drops - each scent was unique.

Even though it's not visible on an ingredients list, we each add a dash of our own essence to all things we come into contact with or birth into being.

We are living at a time when we can consciously choose to bring through our being - not who we think we are supposed to be or who others want us to be or even who we were taught to be - but who we really are.

And you are unprecedented simply by being you. Because no one has or ever will be able to add to the world in the way that you do right now.

I'd love to hear about your uniqueness! In what ways do you connect with your essence? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

p.s. Kalvin reckons sure, it can appear as if everything has been done before. But, not with your dash of soul essence. Our essence is aware of its uniqueness. It is what ignites our desires, fuels our passions and drives our determination. It's what pulls us forth, it's infused our breath and we feel it every time we are lit up, inspired and uplifted. Which means whenever we feel disconnected to our essence, but want to feel plugged in - look to and connect with what inspires, lights up and uplifts you. Whether the last time you felt inspired was this morning, last week, last year or when you were a kid. You can even invite new inspiration into your life by setting the intention to be open to it. Unprecedentedly.
