Luck or Laser-Beam Focus

When previously perceived impossible good things happen or are wanted, it often evokes statements like, “Aren’t you lucky!", “They must have had lady luck on their side" or "You'll need a lot of luck with that!".

What if you knew it's not a matter of luck but deliberate laser-beam-focus on what you want and being in alignment with that. When we get out of our own way long enough and go the flow of our divine stream, as we splash about, paddle, drift, float and let the current guide us through the waters of what feels good for our being... "Whooshka!", it can seem like luck just showed up with the very thing we were wanting, wishing, dreaming, desiring, hoping, praying or searching for.

But in order to be the receiver of what you hold in your heart and see in your wildest dreams, you know what has to really show up?

You.

This week be willing to go to the edges of what you think is possible for you to be, do or have.

No luck required.

With deliberate laser-like focus see what you truly desire for yourself and your life, feel it, think about it, breathe it, believe it, know it… then let it go. That laser-beam you sent out has the details sorted. Allow yourself to receive the divine requests you're putting out there. Show up within yourself and stand up for the life you are here to create.

You are the crucial component.

You know what that means?

You are the four leaf clover, you lucky earthing, you.

I'd love to hear from you. What does 'showing up for yourself' feel like to you? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Venus and a Crescent Moon

The view from here. Venus and a waxing crescent Moon in Sagittarius. It's a brilliant time to allow a greater sense of lightness to enter your heart (especially if it is feeling otherwise).

Here is a Moon Mantra to help you do just that:

I breathe life in with light,
filling my heart with love.
I breathe it all out with love,
filling my being with light

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down. Express it out in whatever way feels good to you.

I'd love to hear from you. What helps you feel a greater sense of lightness in your heart? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Clearing Emotional Channels

Hello Full Moon in Pisces. The lunar energies are splashing our faces with fresh (albeit even icy) cold water as a divine wake up call to our current emotions. Whether you are feeling 'woo!', 'whoa!' or 'what the!', check in with the feelings moving through you right now. What are they wanting to gift you? Fluid like water, emotions are in constant motion - and the Moon in Pisces is particularly surfacing old emotions to be healed and released. With an old emotion, the feeling itself will be familiar to you (so much so you may be thinking 'why am I feeling this again!'), though now is an opportunity to move through it in a brand new way.

Clear your emotional channels with this Moon Mantra;

It is safe for me to let go of my old emotions.
I love and appreciate my emotional guidance system.
My feelings flow perfectly at all times.

What are some of the ways you clear your emotional channels? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Your Next Step

Once in a blue moon, a Blue Moon arrives. And it's here.

Today's Full Moon in Aquarius is an astrological Blue Moon, with the last Full Moon on July 23 also in Aquarius. During a walk yesterday morning I passed a preschool, where a group of 4 year olds were playing a game outside. One kid was shouting at the top of his lungs to the other kids standing in a line in front of him, "Are! You! Reeeeeeady!". To which the kids responded as loud as they could, "Yeeeeeees!". He said it three times, saying it more like a statement of intent than a question. As it happened 'Miraculous Emergence' had literally been on my mind, the latest intuited sketch about being born ready. I looked around me, feeling like I was in the Truman Show. Three more Truman Show type experiences have happened for me over the past 24 hours.

A super charged reminder that: Everything is happening for us not to us.

It's up to you which perspective you hold.

The current lunar energies are gifting us a double-powered opportunity to use what is surfacing in our lives right now (inside and out) to *help* not hinder our individual emergence into more of our wholeness. To emerge calls to let go of holding onto what no longer serves you, be it a fear, a resistance or a limiting belief. It might also include letting go of thinking you are not ready to really be your brilliant self or to radiate that out.

Here is a Moon Mantra to help show up for yourself:

I am ready to emerge. I am ready for my next step.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down. Express it out in whatever way feels good to you.

And howl. Oh, I meant allow.

I'd love to hear from you. What helps you let go of fears and limiting beliefs? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Air Out Your Thoughts

The Universe is lending us a hand right now in airing out old ways of thinking. Creating the space for new ways of being. Thanks to the Full Moon in Aquarius tomorrow Tuesday July 23 (4:15am AEST).

The airy energies of the water-bearer streams in a cleansing air for our thoughts, expands our creative flow and allows greater clarity to surface from within. When the mind is at ease, it steps into its highest role of being a positive ally to our deep inner knowing. Yet when we over identify with the mind as our guiding force, our inner critics, shadow aspects and fears can unconsciously influence our direction.

Here is a Moon Mantra to help air out your thoughts and consciously steer your ship where you truly desire to go;

I am free to be me. My deep inner knowing always guides me in my divine direction. It is safe for my mind to be at ease.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down. Express it out in whatever way feels good to you. I felt called to work with it outside and found myself needing to twirl.

Note to self, twirling makes me inner child happy.

I'd love to hear from you. What helps your mind be at ease? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Inner Alignments

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

We're aligning.

It's Solstice time. Happy Winter Solstice to all in the Southern Hemisphere. This longest and darkest night of the year is a brilliant time to ground your being and be at home within, to reflect on your inner growth during the past six months (yes, there has been plenty even if at first glance it appears otherwise!) and celebrate the return of lighter days. Happy Summer Solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere as you celebrate the longest and lightest day of the year, and reflect on all that has come to light (remember, inner truth does set us free even when it pushes us way out of our comfort zones). It is a sacred time wherever you are.

This nudge is a reflective invitation to honour your own personal inner alignment.

Tune into the magic of the current energies and align to your centre with this Solstice Mantra;

My breath returns me home right now. I am centred in my light.

Meditate on this mantra, or use it as a positive affirmation by repeating it quietly within or aloud. To extend on its message, write it down in your journal and say it to yourself - tune in to how it feels within your body and note it down.

To remind yourself that home is wherever you are, take a pic of today's sky, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer. If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your sky pic via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

May your breath can return you home wherever you are.

Deep Wisdom of Your Breath

It's a universal language, primarily involuntary and a natural action we do our entire lives. Breathing.

Our breathing functions around the clock sending essential oxygen to every single cell in our bodies in order for us to be able to be here right now. That's a mammoth undertaking and fortunately we don't need to remember to do it. Our physical body keeps right on breathing even when we are asleep. It so often goes unnoticed as we go about our everyday happenings, though there is deep wisdom in our breath - it can inform us a great deal about our relationship with our own life and is a powerful tool for positively shifting our thoughts and feelings, especially when we might need to ground our energies or calm the self down.

The depth of our breath speaks to us of our openness to life.

In a rested state are you more of a shallow breather or do you take long deep breaths? It can be useful to consciously breathe deeply at least once a day. Take a deep breath in to allow fresh air to fill your lungs and belly, and breathe out to release any stale air so to speak. Exhaling with a sound such as a deep sigh from your belly can feel great too.

The rhythm of our breath speaks to us of how we move through our life.

In a rested state what is the rhythm of your breath doing - is it calm, even and easeful or challenging and out of sorts? If your breath feels easeful though your life feels somewhat out of sorts you can consciously tune into your breathe to help invite more of its easefulness into your life.

The source of our breath speaks to us of our alignment with our centre.

Breathing from our belly gets more oxygen into our system. When we enter the world we innately breathe from our diaphram/belly. We are centred in our being, connected to our divine flow. However as life unfolds, we can switch to upper chest breathing which can leave us feeling out of our centre, agitated without knowing why or breathing too much/too fast. If you desire to return to breathing from your belly be patient with yourself as it can take time to reprogram a primarily involuntary action.

The presence of our breath reminds us that we are transformational beings.

Our breath transforms after each inhale, when it flips direction and upon our exhale, flows out. We can literally use our breath as a tool to consciously flip our inner flow too. By bringing our awareness to our breath it can help ground our energies whenever we might feel anxious, nervous, agitated, irritated, frustrated or angry. When our mind and emotions are in overwhelm or overdrive, focusing on our breath can create powerful and positive change in our mental and emotional states.

How are you breathing right now? Are you giving yourself room to breathe calmly from within and in your life?

I'd love to hear from you. How does your breathing reflect your relationship with life? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Destuckify Yourself

Life is energy and energy is in constant motion. Which is why we can feel sad, anxious, unclear, frustrated or angry when we think there is no movement happening within us or in our life.

When we perceive a lack of movement on any level our energies can feel unexpressed. And unexpressed or suppressed energies can surface as a pressure, a pressed down self or pressed down emotions aka de-pression. This can show up as feeling frozen, bogged down or in a state of inertia. In other words, stuck. It's a block in our energy flow. And on the stuckness spectrum it manifests in a number of ways in our inner and outer worlds. On one end of the stuckness spectrum is a sense of numbness, feeling no-thing or a complete lack of direction. On the other end is hyper-activity, such as an over-active mind, hyper-sensitivity or over-whelming doubt. When experiencing stuckness, it's common to visit both sides of the spectrum and everything in between.

Whatever end of the stuckness spectrum we may experience at any given time, all energy is in constant motion and therefore possible to shift.

Think of a car stuck in sand, snow or mud. Slamming down on the accelerator spins the wheels, digging the vehicle in much deeper. So too if we feel stuck in any area of life, forcing ourselves to plough ahead, make big life decisions or expect ourselves to be ten paces ahead than where we are at - can expand the stuckness. But just because we can't charge ahead doesn't mean we are unable to move forward.

The steps for pulling a car out of mud can assist to de-stuckify humans too.

Acknowledge the stuckness. Denial keeps stuckness, stuck. Acknowledgment gives stuckness permission to flow. Letting the stuckness know you see it, is key to paving the way for positive change making.

Move into allow-ment. Allow yourself to be with the stuckness, with self-kindess. If self-kindness is challenging for you, think of someone or something you care deeply about and treat yourself with the same kindness as you would show to them. Moving into allow-ment is movement toward greater alignment with the full expression of who you are.

Shift gears. Behind the stuckness you are likely to find charged words and emotions. But before going there, we need to shift gears. One way to do this is to up your level of self-care. One step at a time. If one method isn't feeling great, try another. Do what sits right with you. Here are some helpful ways to shift your inner gears aka energies, and as a bonus these methods help to self-validate your experience;
- Go for a walk, it can be a stroll around your block or through a local park. Physical stress-free movement invites movement on all levels.
- Give voice to your stuckness. How is it really making you feel? Say it aloud until you really mean it! This might mean saying it a few times, or many.
- Write your stuckness out in a journal. Write with self-kindness. Write how stuckness has made or is making you feel. Write until you feel done. It might mean writing every morning for as long as it takes to see your own shifts. That's okay. Journalling is also a brilliant daily self-care tool.
- Reconnect with what gives you joy. Your 'Oh, I used to love doing that!' things. It could be visiting the beach, writing poetry, playing an instrument, listening to music, taking photos, singing in the shower, baking, doodling, dancing, doing yoga, bushwalking, spending time with loved ones, sitting under your favourite tree, spending more time with your animal friends, getting massages, gardening or whatever makes your cells smile. It's okay to do this in little steps, for example you don't have to re-plant an entire green-house, planting a few seeds in a pot can help shift (and ground) your energies.
- Be mindful of what you eat. We can be more sensitive to what we consume than we might consciously realise. Pay attention to how you really feel after eating certain foods. Choose self-nourishing options to help open up to a more nourished self and life.
- Drink water. It is actually ah-mazing how our whole self can feel drained and depleted when we are dehydrated.
- Talk to others in your life who you know will hold a safe space for your sharing. Or join an in-person or online support group where you can share your stuckness in a nurturing environment.

Forward and onwards. With a shift in gears via increased self-care, we open ourselves up to seeing that our stuckness has surfaced for a reason. Although it might feel far from it at the time, stuckness always has a gift for you. One way to uncover the gift is to dialogue with your stuckness. You can do this in your mind's eye, in a journal or during a facilitated session with a wellbeing practitioner. Imagine your stuckness is an energy unto itself, ask your stuckness;
- 'What message do you have for me?'
- 'What do you need from me?'
- 'What gift do you have for me?'
- 'Is there anything else you desire to share right now?'
In asking these questions, listen to the responses that come forth without judgement. Share any reponses you may have with your stuckness. Dialogue until you feel the communication come to a natural close.

On firmer ground. Thank your stuckness. An attitude of gratitude can shift disempowered being to self-empowered living.

Stuckness can cause mischief within us and out. The energies of stuckness can take time before we see it's not-so-positive and disempowering effects in our everyday life. Likewise it takes time to shift back into a more positive and self-empowered state. Be gentle with yourself. See yourself through the eyes of love. Cultivate self-kindness. And if you are feeling stuck or if ever you do, remember all life is energy and energy is in constant motion. All ways, always even we it seems otherwise.

Destuckification is possible.

I'd love to hear from you. What methods have helped you to destuckify, what has worked in your own life? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

Shine Brighter with One Word

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #18. In one word = ta.

An attitude of gratitude is positively self-illuminating. When we bring to light what we are thankful for, our whole self shines that much brighter, including our creative spirit. Holding on to the energy of what we don't have or want, or what we haven't got yet, invites in more of that energy. More of what you don't have or want! Appreciating what is in your life right now, creates fertile ground for more of the same. More of what you do appreciate.

Here is a nudge for creating more fertile ground for what you are truly thankful for. See the love in the little things today. Whatever that may be for you. It might be what you already notice in your everyday happenings, perhaps it's something you would otherwise passby or maybe it's something new for you. When you come across it, allow yourself to pause for a moment. Pay attention to it. Breathe it in. Give thanks quietly or aloud. If you feel inclined, for the next week make note of three things you are grateful for at the end of each day. Write it in your journal or if you don't have one already, you might wish to start a gratitude journal, a place for gathering daily notes for all that you are thankful for.

A note, this nudge is especially useful if you think there is nothing or little to be grateful for in your life right now. When you cultivate an attitude of gratitude it becomes more easeful to see love daily on your path.

Shining the light on what you are thankful for, lights the love already with + within you.

To remind yourself that an attitude of gratitude invites in more easeful flow on all levels, take a photo of one (or more!) things you are thankful for, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

I'd love to see your ta moments!

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your ta moments via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Move Toward Your Light

Seedlings and plants have an innate response to "move" toward the light. Super sensitive to their environment, they bend and grow in the direction of their light source. We too bend and grow in response to our environment.

Each and every day our whole self experiences movement. From moment to moment our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states can shift slightly or significantly. As we go about our daily routines and regular happenings, our senses are receiving word about our internal and external environment - whether sensory via what we hear, see, smell, taste and touch or extrasensory via intuition (commonly known as the sixth sense), visions and telepathy. Our response mechanisms are so ah-mazing that it doesn't even matter whether stimuli is actual, imagined or a fallacy. We can be triggered by such things as; a tangible object, a real action, an imagined happening, a meditative experience, a factual memory or a false perception. This is a remarkable gift, as we have the capacity to consciously use our imagination and the power of imagery as tools to create positive and purposeful change in our lives.

We encounter stimuli throughout our entire day from the moment we open our eyes, be it; the natural light of daybreak, the sound of a little one stirring, an animal friend wanting food, an alarm clock sounding, a neighbour mowing the lawn or traffic driving by.

But what effect is your response having on the direction of your own growth?

Tune into your current responses to gain clarity with the direction you are moving in right now - further away or closer toward your own light.

If it resonates with you, here is an awareness exercise you can do wherever you are and no matter what unfolds during your day, whether a lot or very little. Pick a day this week and be aware of what shifts your states and when. You might like to write it down in a journal. Alternatively, during the day check in with yourself on the hour every hour and note down any inner or outer shifts. Do this without any judgement. Simply allow yourself to observe what shifts you. Notice what changes your body posture, what alters your mood and what triggers reactions within you. Take note too of what changes your energy levels.

The more aware we are of what shifts, uplifts or squashes us, the more empowered we are to make different choices if we desire. As a bonus, paying attention to what triggers us opens the doors to a rather fabulous personal resource library. When you know what gives you more energy, greater clarity, harmonious emotions and calmer thoughts - the more readily you can draw upon these experiences in your life when you feel otherwise.

What direction are you growing in? To tweak your course, pay attention to how you are responding to your inner and outer environment.

p.s. Kalvin was sitting in my hand as we both became the tree during today's photo shoot. He laughed and laughed himself silly saying sometimes he feels teeny tiny in the world. But through the power of light and shadow he was able to be like the tree and stretch his limbs up to the Sun. He said this made him feel as tall as the tree and like his own roots were planted firmly in the ground. In that moment, as his shadow and mine became an extension of the tree, he realised that it doesn't matter how big or small we might think we are in relation to others or other things in the world, what matters is that you are here - like every plant and every tree, you have a place in the world.

Transform an Ideal Feeling into a Real One

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #14. We're creating a sacred reminder that whatever we desire to feel is already within us.

The desire to transform any part of ourselves or our life often births from the desire to feel better than we do. Whether that is to be happier, healthier, wealthier or more loved, valued and seen. One of the most powerful ways to get to a more positive place of being is from where we are right now, by connecting deeper to any desired state from within. As the words by Mahatma Gandhi remind us, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Here is a nudge to encourage you to be the change you wish to see in your own life. Create a visual mantra. A mini-one that you can place on your desk, on your dashboard, in your pocket, wallet, bag or wherever you know you will regularly see it. You will need an old business card, scissors, glue and collaging papers. This exercise can be done in 20 minutes, though create in the time that feels right for you.

To help get in the space for creating your visual mantra, ask yourself;
- What would I like to change the most in my life right now? It might be one aspect or area of your life, or it could be your entire life.
- How do I really feel about this (the thing I want to change)?
- How do I desire to feel? It might be one feeling or a combination of feelings.

Use your desired feeling(s) as the inspiration for your visual mantra. Express it out through a collage, using the old business card as your mini canvas. If you feel to use another medium or work with mixed media, do it! You could also add words that reflect your desired feeling.

Note, collaging paper can include; used magazines, brochures, leaflets, wrapping paper or old book pages.

To remind yourself that you can be the change you wish to see, take a photo of your visual mantra then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Your view. If you like this post, click LIKE below or if you give the nudge a go, please let us know. Share a pic with us on my Facebook Page, or add your comments below. I'd love to see your visual mantras! If you share your visual mantras on Twitter, Instagram or elsewhere on the web, let's use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Pass it on. Here is a ready-to-go prod for you to share the nudge on Facebook, Twitter + elsewhere on the web; Transform an ideal feeling into a real one, http://ow.ly/ibYe0 via @jelenamrkich #creativenudgefridays

The visuals around us, whether tangible or imaginary, can affect our whole self - including our emotional state. Raise the vibration of what you see to help transform an ideal feeling into a real one.

Move it Out

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #12. We're going to move it.

As children we instinctively bounce to the beat, no matter when or where we are. We innately move with no self conscious editing or judgement. That space is liberating, blissful and brings us in alignment with the now. As adults, dancing helps us reconnect with that space we so ease-fully enter as kids. That space where you can breathe in the pure joy of being you.

Here is a nudge to uplift yourself by shifting yourself. Play some music that moves you, literally. It might be; rock, rap, pop, be-bop, jazz, classical, country, contemporary, instrumental, techno, tribal or whatever is calling you right now. Then, move it! Dance, sway, groove, shake, stomp, jump or step it out. Dance for a minute, for the whole track or however long you like.

For those of you who are regular dancers, brilliant. This is a reason for more movement. But if you've become a rare-groover or can't remember the last time you really shook it out, here's your opportunity. Put your dancing shoes on. Or dance barefoot. Dance at home. Or outside. Dance in nature. Dance with percussion. Dance with a scarf. Dance as soon as you wake up. Dance with yourself. Dance with others. Attend a dance class. Or get creative and have a five minute dance break wherever you find yourself this weekend.

To remind yourself that shifting yourself can help uplift yourself, take a photo while dancing, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

Be an Agent of Positive Change

How often do you positively love YOU?

There are many ways to positively love the self via nourishing actions, loving emotions, kind thoughts, life-enhancing behaviours and self-caring habits. But sometimes it can seem like no matter how much we love ourselves, we encounter an impassible wall that blocks access to our highest level of blossoming. You might recognise it in your own life in such moments like; attempting to shift past an on-going issue, trying to heal a re-occurring negative pattern, striving to finally get over a self-sabotaging behaviour or tackling that all-too-familiar hurdle in the way of your dreams. So often our self-inflicted stumbles, challenges and hurts are a sub-conscious reaction to an experience somewhere along our life journey. However slight or serious our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wounds, when we have the courage to acknowledge our path, we create the space for deeper healing and transformation. Acknowledging our path also allows hidden aspects to step out from the shadows which can help us uncover why they might be resistant to heal, shift and transform. No matter how long a healing journey takes, we each deserve self-care and self-kindness every step of the way.

Which brings me to February 14. I like to call it Love Day. It's a brilliant day to remember to express love, care and kindness to YOU. Get creative; write yourself a love note, pick yourself a bunch of wild flowers, eat some chocolate, go to your favourite cafe, dance to your favourite tunes, have a relaxing bath, wear your favourite clothes that make you feel a million bucks or make a brunch date over the weekend with loved ones. February 14 also marks V-Day, a global activist movement bringing awareness to violence and abuse. In honour of its 15th anniversary, V-Day has launched One Billion Rising. A campaign that invites one billion women and those who love them to walk out, dance and rise up for the purpose of creating a real shift within humanity.

I am rising because a global rising is only made possible one by one. Every one can be an agent of positive change.

Open to a daily practice of positively loving YOU. When you come from a space of heart-centred love you become an agent for positively powerful change in both your inner and outer worlds.

p.s. Kalvin reckons every day is a day for love, care and kindness. There's no need to wait for Love Day to embody more love within us and extend greater love out. But Kalvin reminds me that's not to say don't get him anything. He's partial to dark chocolate, pink lotus petals, iced macha tea and is always open to new water-soluable pastels and dance shoes. Speaking of dance shoes, he says One Billion Rising is one ah-mazing opportunity for humanity. It will be one of the first times in history for one billion people to consciously rise up together. Kalvin says he will be rising. He says the rhythm of humanity dancing in unison for a positively powerful cause will send out ripples of healing and transformation greater than Earth has ever felt before. Want to be a part of that? All you have to do is dance.

Your New~ness Emerges

From the old emerges the new.

Via positive changes, welcome shifts, unexpected upheavals, breakups, breakdowns and break-throughs, 2012 was a cosmically guided tour into our heart space. Inviting us to listen to the sometimes-not-so-quiet whispers of our soul's calling, visions, dream seeds and purpose. A bridge that carried us across
