Move Your Inner Creativity, Out

Creative Nudge Fridays is here!

Welcome to nudge #26. We're moving our inner creativity, out!

What comes to mind when you think of the world 'creativity'? We each have our own definition of and connection to the word. Though in our busy inner and outer worlds we can feel like there's just not enough time for it. Yet that's what life is. An ah-mazing and ever-evolving act of creativity. Beyond the bounds of time, are you paying attention to the creativity within you or are you pushing it away?

Here is a nudge to amplify your awareness of your inner creativity and move it out into your life. Pay attention to how your inner creativity shows up for you this weekend and then, action it. Follow through in a way that feels life-enhancing for you. Your inner creativity is there to assist you in living the full expression of your highest self. It simply loves to create. It can show up as an inspired thought, an illuminated idea, an intuitive hunch or a spontaneous 'yes' to step out of your comfort zone. It can show up while you are taking a shower, driving, dancing or about to fall asleep (you might like to keep a pen and a notebook on your bedside table for such moments!).

However your inner creativity shows up for you in your life, pay attention to its blazing creative genius.

To remind yourself of your blazing creative genius is always with you, take a pic of your nudge in action, then use the pic as your screen saver or wallpaper on your phone or computer.

If you give the nudge a go, comment below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page. If you share your nudge in action via Twitter or Instagram use the tag #creativenudgefridays so we can find you.

Unprecedented You

Unprecedented might be a rare word to come across, unless one is an astronaut, inventor or say, you. The word means something that has never been known or experienced before, something that is unparalleled and unique. It's rare because one's ears are more likely to hear the sentiment, 'Everything has been done before'. That idea, those words, this action, every creation = done, done, done and done. Thankfully, not quite.

In order to manifest into form, every idea, word, action and creation streams through a physical body. And just like we each have one-of-a-kind fingerprints, we each have our own unique soulprint. It's the essence you give to everything that flows into, through and from your being, including what you say, think, imagine, visualise, make, create and do.

Your essence adds to the ingredients list of everything in your life.

Ever prepared a meal using the exact same ingredients, following the exact same recipe and method as someone else, yet yours turns out slightly (or completely!) differently? Another example surfaced for me during an aromatherapy course I took many years ago. During one particular class the same blue glass bottles and the same three essential oils were handed out to everyone. We each had to work with the same number of drops of each oil to make our own personal blend. Not only did the order of the drops alter the final scent, but even when same oils were added in identical order, using the same number of drops - each scent was unique.

Even though it's not visible on an ingredients list, we each add a dash of our own essence to all things we come into contact with or birth into being.

We are living at a time when we can consciously choose to bring through our being - not who we think we are supposed to be or who others want us to be or even who we were taught to be - but who we really are.

And you are unprecedented simply by being you. Because no one has or ever will be able to add to the world in the way that you do right now.

I'd love to hear about your uniqueness! In what ways do you connect with your essence? Add your comments below or be a part of the conversation on my Facebook Page.

p.s. Kalvin reckons sure, it can appear as if everything has been done before. But, not with your dash of soul essence. Our essence is aware of its uniqueness. It is what ignites our desires, fuels our passions and drives our determination. It's what pulls us forth, it's infused our breath and we feel it every time we are lit up, inspired and uplifted. Which means whenever we feel disconnected to our essence, but want to feel plugged in - look to and connect with what inspires, lights up and uplifts you. Whether the last time you felt inspired was this morning, last week, last year or when you were a kid. You can even invite new inspiration into your life by setting the intention to be open to it. Unprecedentedly.

Decisions and Higher Visions

Aptly named after Janus, the god of the doorway, January opened the door to 2013. Open doors symbolise a time of renewal, where we leave behind what was, and step forth into what is. It's exciting to journey through renewal, through beginnings and newness. Yet it's also a vulnerable time during which we can feel exposed and in the unknown as we release the old and that which might have previously defined us. Where it may trigger our doubts and fears, renewal asks us to face those energies and move forward with courage as we embody and express a deeper truth of who we are.

The past several weeks have been abundant with the energies of renewal. We've had V.I.P. access to the renewal of a great cycle spanning 26,000 years, we've welcomed in a new solar year of 365 days and this weekend we're about to greet another renewal. The New Moon in Aquarius on February 10 births the Chinese New Year of the Water Snake. The element of water speaks of flow, movement, change, life, growth and prosperity  The wisdom of the snake or serpentine teaches us about transmutation, goddess energy, insight, intuition and creative power. It's divinely symbolic.

Like a dancing snake 2013 is calling us to rise up from what no longer serves us and is drawing us into more of who we are. It can be emotional, especially when we might have never given ourselves permission to see, own or embody our true essence. It can also be uncomfortable as we stretch ourselves beyond self-imposed limitations. Which is why February follows the doorway. It's a month of love, which includes self-love.

Wherever you are at in your journey, remember to be kind to yourself.

Now is a brilliant time to lovingly check-in with where you are at. Ask yourself, 'What is my vision for this year?' and 'Am I moving in the direction of my vision? If not, what do I need to do to realign with my vision?'. If your vision for this new year feels wavering, yet to find its feet or you desire greater clarity with your life direction, this is your month. It's an opportunity for deeper renewal on any level and a greater connection with your authentic self.

Every time you decide to be more of who you are, you open the door to a higher vision of your life. Be courageous. Creatively courageous as you open the doors from within and let your light shine out.

p.s. Kalvin says snakes continually shed the outer layer of their skin to allow for continued growth their entire lives. They shed several times a year, with some shedding every five to six weeks. Kalvin thinks this is a brilliant example of how renewal works in our lives too. He says the process of renewal doesn't shed all of who we are and plonk us back to square one. It helps us shed the layers that no longer serve us (including actions, thoughts, emotions and beliefs) as we embody more of who we are. For us too it's an ongoing process that allows us to experience continued personal growth throughout our lives. Kalvin reminds us that renewal can occur at any time. Outer experiences can trigger opportunities for renewal or we can tune in to natural cycles of renewal, such as the birth of a new moon, the start of a new year, a new season or a new day. We can also tap into its energies from within. Whenever we decide or desire to be more of who we are, we activate renewal from the inside, out.

Your Universal Purpose

If there is a universal purpose we all share, it is to be who we are, not who we think we are.

When we are conscious of our desire to know more of who we are, we enable our essence to flow more ease~fully from the inside, out. We create the space to thrive, and rather than thinking this means a smooth-sailing and problem-free life, we gain the awareness {usually via direct experience, unexpected or otherwise} that being who we are and thriving, can and often does, push us out of our comfort zones. Right out.

We are pushed out of our comfort zones to be more of who we are. We might not always understand the why's and what-for's. But when we ask to be shown the gift in any experience, it reveals itself when we are ready, and when we need to know it. If you think you are ready and need to know it right now yet nothing is budging, you might like to ask yourself;
- What aspects of me are not ready?
- What message do these aspects have for me?
- What part of me does not want to know?
- What does this part wish to say?

When we are pushed out of our comfort zones we can let it block the flow of our essence or use the experience to bring more of our essence into our lives on all levels {physical, mental, emotional and spiritual}.

Moving beyond who we think we are {or ought to be} calls us to step up to something greater than where we are at. It asks us to be okay with not always being ready, with not always knowing everything we think we need to know. It invites us to let go of the details, step into the unknown and open ourselves up to the fullness of our ever-evolving truth.

Being who you {uniquely} are is a universal purpose that we collectively share. It will push you out of your comfort zones. Right out and into who you are, activating a deeper level of your personal purpose.

p.s. Kalvin reckons being who we think we are is a bit like taking a selfie from miles away. You know it's you in the picture even if you are as tiny as a dot. And when you are a dot it's kinda challenging to see your whole self. But when we open to being or knowing more of who we really are, Kalvin says it's like zooming in on ourselves. Right in on our face. Kalvin thinks this is brilliant. Because it means we can see every fabulous laugh line and maybe even up our nostrils. And Kalvin, being a piglet, loves nostrils. They make him snort, and he says there really is nothing like a good belly snort laugh to help you open up to even more of who you are.
